Smart
Photography becomes India's largest selling
Imaging magazine within One year of its
launch
- Rolls out new, enhanced
content with larger pages and more glossier
paper for true-to-life color reproduction
Mumbai,
April 12, 2006:
Smart Photography,
the premier magazine launched by Next Gen
Publishing Ltd. has become India 's No.1
imaging magazine within just nine months
of its launch. Moving ahead of several other
photo magazines, not only is Smart Photography
the largest in terms of circulation and
readership, but is also the largest in terms
of the number of pages per issue and advertisers
patronizing the magazine.
Smart Photography
is a classy, well-designed and informative
monthly printed on glossy paper for enhanced
colour reproduction - an essential for a
quality photography magazine. Every issue
covers the entire spectrum of the imaging
industry and related products through interesting
sections. Through them, readers get detailed
information on products, services and techniques
for both digital and analogue photography,
as well as a better understanding of the
aesthetics. Further, to help readers with
their purchase decisions, the magazine also
tests and evaluates cameras, printers, scanners,
Inkjet photo papers, and even software that
help in colour correction and image enhancement
in the digital space.
Smart photography
is edited by Mr. Hoshang Billimoria, CEO,
Next Gen Publishing Ltd. who is an avid
photo enthusiast himself and is assisted
by a team of experienced writers in photography.
Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Billimoria
says, "This landmark achievement of the
magazine within just 9 issues is not only
because of the excellent content it brings
to its readers, but also the value it creates
for the entire industry through several
initiatives such as Awards, forums and workshops
that we provide. We look upon Smart Photography
as an entire package which delivers best
value to both readers as well as advertisers,
who have provided overwhelming support to
the magazine."
Israr Qureshi, one of
India's finest fashion photographers said,
"When I got Smart Photography in
my hands for the first time, I was surprised
to see a magazine which had tried to breakthrough
and look different from the mundane. In
fact, Smart Photography makes a professional
out of an amateur. So when in doubt, I guide
people to refer to Smart Photography".
With a firm commitment
towards providing the best, in January 2006,
Next Gen also instituted their first, and
well received Smart Photography Awards
that gave out awards in 21 categories
to a closely competitive group of nominees.
During this year, the magazine will also
be launching its unique website, that will
provide the photography community a virtual
interactive platform and it also plans to
launch a national photography exhibition
to platform for consumers and manufacturers
to have direct interaction.

format from year two!

and having gathered several new insights
about customer likes and preferences for
their magazine, Next Gen is entering its
